Title: Sapphire Sountracks
Released: ca. 1991
Publisher: Nu City Productions
Description: After the release of
Jasper, Rhev
21 planned their next album which was to be entitled Sapphire. At the
time, the band had no drummer, and Dan was preparing all the drum
tracks usig drum machine programming. The result was a set of
"soundtracks" that were essentially complete, and ready for vocals, sax
parts, and lead guitar. Before the project could be completed, Jackson
Baugh joined the band as a full-time drummer, and the band made the
decision to re-record everything with Jackson on drums. The
result was "Rhoses, Rhinos & Other Living Things." Several of
the
songs originally planned for "Sapphire" were scrapped, and the
soundtracks were never completed. |

Title: The Lost Demo
Released: ca. 1990
Publisher: Nu City Productions
Description:
After the release of Jasper, but before work had begun on Sapphire,
Rhev 21 released a 3-song demo that was used to generate live gigs.
This demo includes the previously released "Eyes on You" (Jasper),
along with the hilarious remaking of a Rhev 21 long-time crowd favorite
"Let's Go to Church" that was redubbed "Lame Excuse". It also features
a new song "Come Back to You" that didn't make it onto "Rhoses,
Rhinos..." |
