DAN BECKETT CELEBRATES RELEASE OF RECORDING SIMPLY CHRISTMAS
CD features solo piano work and collaborations
with other local musicians
Monday 26 November 2007 (Plymouth MI) – Plymouth pianist Dan
Beckett announced today the release of Simply
Christmas, a new recording featuring his
arrangements of favorite Christmas carols and standards for acoustic
piano. Simply Christmas follows
Mr. Beckett’s self-published debut entitled Simplicitude
(2003).
Mr. Beckett will perform live at CD release celebrations hosted by
Evola Music Centers in Canton MI (Friday 07 December 2007, 6:30-8:00 PM
EDT) and Shelby Township MI (Thursday 13 December 2007, 6:30-8:00 PM
EDT). The CD will be available for purchase at live events and benefit
concerts throughout December, as well as from online retailers such as
Snocap, iTunes, Napster, and Amazon.

is sure
to appeal to anyone who loves piano music. We are excited about sharing

Simply Christmas
highlights Mr.
Beckett’s characteristic piano stylings accompanied by a
variety
of Detroit-area vocalists and instrumentalists. Selections range from
ancient carols such as “Veni Veni Emanuel” and
“Ave
Maria” to contemporary classics including
“Christmas Time
is Here” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little
Christmas”.
Mr. Beckett specializes in compositions, arrangements and performances
for acoustic piano. Based in Plymouth, MI, his music career spans over
20 years of composing, arranging, performing, producing, and
collaborating with other artists in Southeast Michigan. His music can

Dec 2007 - Today we were officially added as a Partner to the Barbara
Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute.
Dan will be providing music therapy on a monthly basis beginning on
Friday 21 December 2007, and continuing into 2008. We will also be
pursuing a variety of activities to expand our offering of music
therapy by collaborating on fund-raising activities and other events
benefiting the institute. Stay tuned for more exciting announcments on
this topic.
